Biography and personal interests:

Philip’s expertise is in electronic and IT system development, especially in cloud based E-commerce and Internet of Things framework. The recent focus is on the security aspects of Internet of Things systems, in particular the research of security protocols and features for low power, low resources internet of things devices and servers.

Professional practice / research interests:

Philip’s current research project is focused on cyber security penetration test training platform. The aim of the research is to develop a cost effective and secured platform for cyber security penetration test practices and training. The platform is to support the teaching of cyber security modules for degree courses and higher-level apprenticeship, as well as for the research and development of penetration test applications.
